The Director Cyber Security will lead a cyber-security group that will advise, set and manage security policies for Product and Solution Development.
The team will work on a day-to-day basis with the Product Development departments and solution teams.
As a Global Solutions vendor we support and develop software and hardware in many different environments. We have embedded hardware solutions as well as sophisticated applications that run and manage our customer’s critical infrastructure.
These solutions are used by our customers in the most critical and sensitive operations in the world. They demand superior enterprise level security from our hardware, software and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in the comprehensive development, planning and execution of Schneider-Electric products and solutions. The Cyber Security team works closely with product teams and engineering teams to ensure that our products meet or exceed customer security and certification requirements.
This includes ensuring that the security architecture is well document and communicated. The team is required to help provide guidance and planning input into the software engineering and product development process, related to security. The Cyber Security team must be sensitive to the constraints and needs of each of our business units overall security architecture. The team must monitor security technology trends and requirements, such as emerging standards for new technology opportunities and develop and execute security plans.
This may include managing joint products and development with 3rd party vendors, and providing guidance with other departments to the engineering and testing practices.
Ensure, and create as needed, security processes, practices and operations to ensure reproducible development and high quality, while keeping costs under control.
This position will provide the leadership of a team that includes reviews of in-house products and solutions, as well as review of technologies provided by 3rd party vendors. This includes review of security certifications process, including preparing extensive documentation and working with 3rd party evaluations.
Position Requirements:
Senior Management position requiring proven track record in global team leadership
Able to articulate the risks from Cyber Security attacks
5 Years Cyber Security team Leadership experience required.
Appropriate security certifications, such as CISSP, CSSLP (ISC)2, MCSA/MCSE: Security (Microsoft), CCSP (Cisco) and/or certifications from vendors
Experiencing managing software R&D and a Computer Science Degree preferred.
Experience implementing Security standards such as PCI-DSS, SAS 70 Type 2, SSAE 16, ISAE 3402, ISO 27001 and Safe Harbour are desirable
Other desirable experience:
• secure coding practices, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
• network and server security, Intrusion Detection, Log Integrity,
• Web Application Testing
• SaaS and Cloud Security

Title:  Software Engineer

Initial Assignment:  This is a direct-hire role with our BT Federal organization. The selected candidate will be initially assigned to MIT Lincoln Laboratory, pending acceptance by the client.

Background:

We are seeking a Software Engineer to work in the area of Cyber Situational Awareness and Decision Support. The desired candidate will be a strong systems architect who can design and then implement software systems. A working knowledge of computer and network security and the cyber domain is required, as is strong experience with Java, software architecture, and software development. Experience with Scala, C/C++, Perl or Python, Hadoop, network protocols, and network services is highly desired. Experience with J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, SOAP, WS-Security, UDDI, and Apache Camel is desired

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • An MS degree with 5 years of applicable work experience or a BS degree with 5-10 years of applicable work experience is required.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of computer and network security and the cyber domain.
  • Strong experience with Java, software architecture, and software development.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with Scala, C/C++, Perl or Python, Hadoop, network protocols, and network services is highly desired.
  • Experience with J2EE, JavaScript, SQL, SOAP, WS-Security, UDDI, and Apache Camel is desired.

Other MIT Lincoln Laboratory requirements:

  • All subcontractors under contract must be U.S. citizens and must hold active SECRET level Department of Defense clearance.
